THE DUKE'S CHAINSAW CHAIN
HARD CHROME, AGGRESSIVE
Professional style chain, with hardened, blued and chrome plated cutters.
These 3-point felling dogs (bumper spikes) were co-designed and tested by Westcoast Saw™ customers and professional arborists and loggers. With a longer center dog that lines up with the chain kerf, this design offers better articulation and a smoother, more effortless cut.
Note: You must run a Stihl chain catcher on any dual felling dog setup to add additional strength and support *Without running a chain catcher on these felling dogs, the stress may cause the outside dog to fracture. We only guarantee our felling dogs if you run the chain catcher. Hardware and chain catcher available and sold separately.
Made in the USA of heat-treated high-strength alloy steel.
All models are sold as a set, with the exception of the top handle models which is a single felling dog.
Installed on 620. The factory felling dogs are aggressive and better than most. But I have the WCS dogs on both larger and smaller saw snd recommend them. With WCS dogs you get more stability when felling. The saw isn’t slipping down the trunk. Setting the position for cut takes less effort when the dogs bite so well. No repositioning from slipping out. They maybe from west coast but it’s not just for shaggy thick bark. For bucking some might feel they loose an inch from bar. If the bar is that short to worry about it then these dogs may not be needed. They do look cartoonishly aggressive though and take more care when transporting saw.
At a loss, why would these be sold as a 590 dual felling dogs when they can't be mounted on the 590? Other sellers specifically say will not work on outside cover of 590. Only inside. Come on guys.
