After writing the above review, I also see photo evidence that my original expectation of receiving a fuel cap with the purchase was indeed based on their product photos. When it arrived without a cap, I just assumed it was my error… so I have reduced my rating to 3 stars on the tank.
Haven’t completed the build yet, but was happy with this purchase upon seeing it. However, the throttle armature was damaged beyond use by whomever put the zip ties on it to “protect it from damage” (???). Good thing I appreciate irony, and that the throttle armature on my old tank was the only thing in like-new condition. In fact, the entire order was good, and my reason for doing this review is to let Traverse Creek know that somebody on their end is breaking parts (by reefing on those zip ties) prior to shipment… I’m sure they’ll get it corrected.
Only 4 stars because hasn’t yet been really tested, plus the broken throttle linkage.
