Solid hook

This is a well designed hookeroon. The point is sharp and the angle is just right. The weight of the head makes for an easy swing to seat hook in the log. A very useful tool.

A definite back saver

Tip sharpness out of the box was a little lacking and kept it from five stars. Easy touch up.

Handle split during first use

I was initially enthusiastic about the long handle. At 6’8” a long handled Pickaroon would be a treat. I was finally able to use it to pick up some river birch and on the 3rd log, felt a dull thud and inspecting the handle saw a crack from the head to 3/4 of the handle. I have reached out to customer service twice with no response. Very disappointed in both the tool and Saw Salvage.
