There is growing demand for alternatives to gas-powered outdoor power equipment. Makita is meeting demand with an expanding line of cordless OPE, including the 18V LXT® Brushless 6" Pruning Saw (XCU14). The 6” Pruning Saw is both lightweight and compact making it a perfect option for light limb cutting and pruning.
The 6” Pruning Saw features a Makita-built brushless motor that delivers optimum cutting performance. It features “tool-free” chain adjustment for convenient operation and maintenance as well as a retractable guard for convenient operation and maintenance. The XCU14 can perform up to 140 cuts in 2” cedar with one fully charged 18V LXT® 2.0Ah battery.
Convenience features include a soft grip handle that is engineered for the user to more easily apply even cutting pressure. It is lightweight at only 3.7 lbs. with battery for reduced operator fatigue.
The 6” Pruning Saw features an efficient Makita-built brushless motor for longer run time, increased power and speed, and longer tool life. Extreme Protection Technology (XPT™) provides improved dust and water resistance for operation in harsh conditions.
It’s part of Makita’s expanding 18V LXT System, the world’s largest cordless tool system powered by 18V lithium-ion slide-style batteries. Makita® 18V LXT® Lithium-Ion Batteries have the fastest charge times in their categories, so they spend more time working and less time sitting on the charger.
For improved tool performance and extended battery life, Makita created Star Protection Computer Controls™. Star Protection is communication technology that allows the Star Protection-equipped tool and battery to exchange data in real-time and monitor conditions during use to protect against overloading, over-discharging, and overheating. For increased versatility, the tool can also be powered by Makita® 18V LXT® Lithium-Ion Batteries with the star symbol on the battery indicating Star Protection inside.
