Handle split during first use

I was initially enthusiastic about the long handle. At 6’8” a long handled Pickaroon would be a treat. I was finally able to use it to pick up some river birch and on the 3rd log, felt a dull thud and inspecting the handle saw a crack from the head to 3/4 of the handle. I have reached out to customer service twice with no response. Very disappointed in both the tool and Saw Salvage.

If you handle a lot of firewood you need a pickaroon. Save your back and save time with this handy tool.

Might look good as a wall hanger

The handle design on these SUCK, the top quarter of the handle hole is half filled with epoxy, the wood SHOULD go all the way through. Mankind has been hafting handles in/on tools for centuries, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. The handle broke after only a half days use in soft wood. Of curse it was past the 30 day "sorry excuse for a warranty" window.
